I'm still waiting on Bath and Body Works, PacSun, Express, and Robeks, but all of those also have a ton of candidates with worlds of experience while I have... one month of selling auto discounts door to door. FML
Essentially 17 stabs of rejection in one day. What really twisted the handle was when I went into Ann Loft to check on my application. The girl ringing up a woman's clothes said, "Sorry, this is only my 2nd day," and the same manager who had taken my application five days ago said, "We aren't hiring right now." FML
Not even the various male mall employees with hot accents could cheer me up. One guy wished me luck, and he was cute, although possibly gay. But hot. Another one gave me a website of his co-worker's and a number, but it looked like a pyramid scheme. And I know not a vast majority mozies into Journey's, but there's a cute guy there with some sort of accent who said to me: "You're not a fellow; that's different than most people who apply here." He said fellow instead of "boy" or "guy"! I melted a little, or at least got slightly defrosted. Oh yeah, and I met some of the male French exchange students today... there was French techno music playing and I was just sort of bobbing to the bass and this small glass of water French boy said, "I like to dance, too!" and began dancing with me. Until his taller French cohort came up from behind and began choking him with a lanyard. Oh yeah, and by 'cohort' I meant 'attractive bully'. Even if they do say rude things, they sound adorable doing so. All French people are beautiful, I am learning.

For some reason or another accents-- especially European accents-- unravel me. There's just something so sultry and seductive about them... I wish I had one, instead of an ugly American accent that other countries merely view as an open invitation to rob and/or spit on me.
In other news, I want to start a second canvas painting. At the moment I am kind of dried up on ideas, or... I get ideas for things that I cannot paint well. I outlined a sketch of vomit on my canvas, but ultimately I'm going for something a little more intricate.
Spring Break begins... in a few hours! I have 9 days of relaxation ahead. And by relaxation I mean laziness coupled with arguments with my dad about the cost of college. I have a lot on my plate; it's all a matter of just getting up off my bed and doing something about it.
Oh yeah, and a wee rant: I went to the library yesterday, and I couldn't check out my books because I have overdue books from 2006 and a fine of about $30 (I'm actually surprised it is not more). These books are childrens' books my mom used my library card to get for my little sister. Since SHE never returned them and SHE never paid the fine, I'm stuck with a $30 charge and a usesless library card. How charming.
Charming like this picture:

I never realized how much I miss reading until I visited the library the other day. Books just look so... good! I want to read them all so much.
